1997 VW Jetta GT 4 Sale $2200 OBO! You are bidding on a 1997 VW Jetta GT Sedan 4 door, VIN# 3VWVA81H1VM133373 This would be a perfect Winter vehicle, commuter car, college car, or first car for someone. The gas mileage is awesome for being a GT and is shown below. The trunk is huge and the car comes w/its original jack and spare tire. I have the original key (which you should use as little as possible and just make copies) and I have an owner's manual and maintenance manual that I bought separately off of ebay. This vehicle has been verified and sworn to having the correct mileage. Although this vehicle has been smoked in, a thorough detailing could remove any odors. Minor collision damage does not affect the vehicle's performance. The door dings on this auto are from normal wear and tear. This vehicle has never been garaged. There is not a skip or slip, just pure smoothness in this vehicle's transmission. There are no problems with the engine that I can see or have experienced. All interior/exterior lights work however you will see from the pictures that it is missing a running light. There are no known defects - past or present on this vehicle. The condition of the exterior and interior is average for a vehicle of its age and mileage. The front tires on this vehicle need replaced however the rear ones are good and could just be rotated. The good, the bad, the ugly: Keep in mind the age 1997, mileage 180,585 plus & purpose of this car. I bought this strictly as my winter vehicle and have only driven it in the winter. It had 170,000 and some miles on it when I bought it. Please see all pictures as I have tried to document any blemishes, dents, dings, scratches etc. on this car! I bought this car off of Ebay two years ago from a dealer in Neptune, New Jersey. The Good: This car runs and runs perfectly! I hate to sell it but we have a wedding coming up and I have three cars! The time has come to get rid of my Winter car. The Bad: The lighter does not work; it never has and I do not know why. The A/C does not work, I have never had this fixed because it is/was my Winter car only. See all photo's for blemishes & read description in the car fax as I noted all blemishes there. Will need some parts but you can get them cheap off of ebay or if you have a "pick and pull" junkyard near you. The parts that it needs are all cosmetic, i.e., missing light, missing grill under light on passenger side front of car, grill for front of car. I have all maintenance receipts for this car and all oil changes I believe as I keep everything for all of my vehicles. The Ugly: The door lock on the outside of the driver's side door is stripped, it was frozen shut and I stuck the key in and turned it so hard it just kept going. I am not sure if this can be fixed or if the car will need re-keyed on that side. It is just not worth it to me as this is my winter car and I can still lock the car using the power lock button in the center console or by locking it on the passenger side with the key. See the picture of the hood it opens, closes, & latches properly! You will need two new tires at some point.
